MULTIPLYING TWO NUMBERS WHOSE DIFFERENCE IS 2.

Rule: Square the number between the two given numbers and subtract 1. This short cut is simple to apply when the square can be found easily. For example, suppose we have to multiply 24 by 26. The number between the two given numbers is 25. The square of 25 is quickly found to be 625. 24 *26 = 625 - 1 = 624 Answer Multiply 67 by 69. Here the number between the given numbers is 68. Its square is 4,624, Therefore 67 * 69 =4,623 Answer
